The Partnership
Existing public access to the grounds of Oldway Mansion is an important resource for the local and wider community, and under the proposals the continued provision of public access remains a key aim, with all existing pedestrian access points retained and enhanced, with a wide range of routes around the grounds maintained.

The landscape is an essential part of our proposal. A programme to restore the grounds will be instigated, including long-term management aims, but great care will be taken to ensure that they retain their essential charm and character. In particular, we would like to re-inject some of the ideology of Duchene, the original landscape designer, back into the grounds, principally by re-establishing the grotto and lake to ensure that they remain a place for the public to enjoy through the seasons.

Indoor bowling centre

There are two options being considered to re-provide the existing indoor bowling centre, one off-site (option 1) and one on-site (option 2). The on-site option sets the bowling centre into the slope and below the re-provided bowling greens to the east of the Mansion.
